Book review: Better Than The Movies

A cute , swoon-worthy, toe-curling story of Lis Buxbaum who finds love in the place she least expected. It is not just a book version of a rom-com but I found it pretty hot and heavy too. Story has(besides romance), rebellion , heartbreak , nostalgia and of course -friendships-not flimsy break at the blink of an eye friendships but mature , understanding friendships. The book doesn’t keep you at the edge, rather it keeps you confined in an ambience of love based romance. How we truly care about someone -whether or not romantically, that genuine concern that touches the heart is portrayed so well in the book that it gave me warmth spreading all around my heart. The book is un-put-down-able.It is a celebration of rom coms but not making them look cliched rather celebrating their closeness to romance in reality-how music can affect a moment, how words can mean more than they ought to, how colours can carry fragrances, how one can see notes of music and all that..
Truly worth giving a read and then getting hooked onto, the language is enjoyable and Liz’s honestly is adorable. Id give it a 7 on 10.
